The Winds of Sand
The winds of sand
Caught my soul
And banished out of me
The song on the lips of a wrecked and old
Bird of the sky and seaThe light of the pearl
From a glimpse in the shell
That glistened in the shade of the sun and me
Stopped ahead the thought that had left
My heart with softness and simplicityThe love in the eyes
Might have lived but not for so long
In the enchanted woods of thee
O my lord, I wish a sword
Worth its existence could cut clear through my heart
The heart that restrained its self from remembering thee
O lord I want your bliss
And your love that shall heal me
And fill in the song and the thought that had left
My heart a while ago, and the bird that had left me
