Empty Lives

Oh baby with those tear-filled eyes
Children with those empty lives
Wake to hopeless days and starless nights
As pain overtakes and opressive chains bind

Lets try to save them from these lives of misery
Wake up play a part, stand up to our duties
Happiness being devoured for what wrong they dont know
This life isnt forever, but whilst here they deserve to grow

...We stand in the distance
Trying to hide from pleading eyes
Forgetting that Allah sees
And from Him we can keep no lies

We live in peace, we live in tranquility
But some will never know of this serenity
We live day after day, simply stuck in our ways
But when it comes to giving, our parts we do not play

Realise this life is nothing but the blinking of an eye
Fleeting moments and regretful sighs
Peals of laughter lasting only a while
Calamity after comfort hence the wary smiles...

But still...we stand in the distance
Trying to hide from pleading eyes
Forgetting that Allah sees
And from Him we can keep no lies
